This post brings you the Free Deepavali Greeting download :)
So excited to share this one with you because Deepavali or Diwali or "The Festival of Lights" is one of my favourite celebrations with Chinese New Year, Christmas & Hari Raya being the the others! Yup! So very Malaysian of me. My favourite part of this celebration has to be the creativity side of things... and of course the food.
I love the brightly designed "kolams" made from coloured rice and I have always wanted to do one myself but never had the time or the chance to! Maybe one day in the future (anyone want to collaborate with me?). I love how the use of straight lines and curves can create something so intricate and lovely.
In my design (picture below, click on picture to go to download link) I used the same concept straight lines and curves to create the picture. The bright colours were inspired from the colours mostly used in Kolam- pinks, greens, blues, yellows in very saturated and vibrant hues. And of course the traditional Indian costumes that I have a huge LOVE for! (again, you have to see the real thing to understand why I'm so fascinated by it!)
Enjoy! The Greeting is already a perfect square and ready to be used! Just go ahead and send it through Whatsapp, Email, MMS and Facebook/Twitter/Google+ etc :) Just remember- Do not edit it in anyway and remove the StickgirlProductions title :)
